Profile:
I am a midwife, and am currently the Director of Women's HIV Services at Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center, a community hospital in the South Bronx. I provide obstetric and gynecological services to HIV infected women as well as supervising the outreach, testing and counseling and support service programs for positive women and their families. I graduated from Barnard in 1982, and worked as an artist and curator from that point until 1997, when after the birth of my son, I returned to the Columbia School of Nursing to begin training as a midwife.
